Terms of Service

Effective 12 July 2026

1.General

These terms of service apply to the Zansen Studio service (hereinafter the “Service”), provided by Zansen Studio Oy (Finnish Business ID 3630838-1; hereinafter “Zansen”, “we” or the “service provider”). By using the Service, creating a user account or purchasing a paid subscription you accept these terms in full.

The Service is primarily intended for professional use, in particular for real-estate agents and other professionals in the real-estate industry. The Service may also be used by private individuals, in which case the mandatory provisions of the Finnish Consumer Protection Act additionally apply to the extent they are applicable.

2.Description of the Service

The Service is a browser-based application that allows the user to upload digital photographs and have them automatically finished using an AI-assisted process. The finishing includes, among other things, exposure balancing, colour neutralisation and general improvement of visual quality.

As the end result the user receives new, finished versions of their images. The Service may include additional features such as watermarking, gallery management and packaging of images for download.

AI-produced images are generative in nature. Although the Service aims to keep the content and composition of the original image neutral, small differences in details may occur in the end result. The user is responsible for reviewing the images before their professional or public use.

3.User account

Using the Service requires creating a user account. The user undertakes to provide correct and up-to-date information when registering and to keep their credentials safe so that they do not end up in the hands of third parties.

The user is responsible for all activity on their account. If the user suspects unauthorised use of their account, they must notify us without delay at info@zansenstudio.com.

4.Pricing and payment

The paid subscription to the Service is available in three tiers: €29.90 per month (50 images), €79 per month (150 images) and €149 per month (300 images). Prices include value added tax where applicable. Every subscription includes 5 gigabytes of storage; additional storage can be purchased as monthly add-ons. The prices in force at any given time are shown in the Service.

New users receive a free trial of 5 images. After the trial, continued use of the Service requires activating a paid subscription.

The subscription is billed automatically once a month through the payment provider Stripe. Charges are made in advance for the following subscription period. Unused images do not carry over to the next subscription period.

Prices may be changed by notifying the user by email at least 30 days before the change takes effect. If the user does not accept the price change, they may cancel their subscription before the change takes effect.

5.Cancelling the subscription

The user may cancel the subscription at any time from the settings of the Service. The cancellation takes effect at the end of the current subscription period, and subscription fees already charged are not refunded for the remaining period. The user retains access to the Service until the end of the paid period.

6.No right of withdrawal for the digital service

By accepting these terms and starting to use the Service the user gives their express consent to the immediate delivery of the service and confirms losing the 14-day right of withdrawal under the Finnish Consumer Protection Act.

The Service is digital content delivered remotely and consumed immediately upon use (for example, the processing and production of an image). For this reason, the right of withdrawal under Chapter 6, Section 16 of the Finnish Consumer Protection Act does not apply to paid processed images or to an activated subscription in respect of its first charged period.

The user may nevertheless cancel the renewal of the subscription at any time in accordance with Section 5.

7.Refunds

We refund charged amounts in the following situations:

  • Technical error.If the Service repeatedly fails to process the user’s images due to a technical reason attributable to us and the issue cannot be resolved within a reasonable time, we refund a proportional share of the subscription fee.
  • Unjustified charge. If the user has been charged for a subscription they did not order, or the amount of the charge is incorrect, we refund the unjustified charge in full.

Refund requests must be sent to info@zansenstudio.com within 30 days of the charge. We process the request within a reasonable time, at the latest within 14 days of receiving it.

8.User obligations

The user undertakes that:

  • they hold the rights to the uploaded images (as the photographer, rights holder or licensee of the rights),
  • the uploaded images do not infringe third-party copyrights, privacy, honour or other rights,
  • they do not use the Service for unlawful purposes or purposes contrary to good practice, including the production of illegal or harmful content,
  • they do not attempt to disrupt the operation of the Service, circumvent technical restrictions or use the Service in an automated manner not intended for normal use.

If the user breaches these terms, we may suspend or terminate the user account without prior notice. In serious cases we reserve the right to claim damages.

9.Copyright and use of images

The user retains all rights to both their original images and the images processed in the Service. The user grants Zansen only the usage rights necessary for the technical delivery of the Service (receiving the image, temporary storage, processing in the AI service and delivery back to the user).

Zansen does not use the user’s images in its advertising, marketing or as training material for AI models without separate, express permission from the user.

The user’s original images are retained in the service for a reasonable period (see the privacy policy). The user may request deletion of their data and images at any time.

10.Availability of the Service

We aim to keep the Service available around the clock. We do not, however, guarantee uninterrupted use. The Service may experience maintenance breaks, disruptions caused by third-party services (for example outages of Stripe, Supabase or OpenAI) and other technical issues.

We aim to give advance notice of planned maintenance breaks and to fix disruptions as quickly as possible.

11.Limitation of liability

The Service is provided “as is”. We give no express or implied warranties that the Service meets the user’s specific needs, that it operates without interruption or error, or that AI-produced images always meet the user’s expectations.

Zansen is not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages, such as lost profits, lost sales, business interruption or damages incurred by third parties, even if Zansen has been informed of the possibility of such damages.

Zansen’s maximum liability for an individual damage event is limited to the amount the user has paid for the Service during the six (6) months preceding the damage. This limitation of liability does not apply to damage caused intentionally or through gross negligence, nor does it limit mandatory rights under the Finnish Consumer Protection Act.

12.Processing of personal data

The processing of the user’s personal data is described in a separate privacy policy. We use the data only to deliver the Service, for billing and for communicating with the user.

13.Changes to the terms

We reserve the right to change these terms of service. We notify users of material changes by email at least 30 days before the changes take effect. By continuing to use the Service after a change takes effect the user accepts the new terms. If the user does not accept the changes, they may cancel their subscription.

14.Governing law and dispute resolution

These terms of service are governed by the laws of Finland, excluding its conflict-of-law provisions. Any disputes are primarily resolved amicably through negotiation.

If an amicable settlement cannot be reached, the dispute is resolved in the district court of the user’s domicile if the user is a consumer, and otherwise in the District Court of Helsinki.

A consumer customer has the right to refer a consumer dispute to the Finnish Consumer Disputes Board. More information: www.kuluttajariita.fi.
